Hi, I’m Jennifer Lawrence, and I support Bellewood Home for Children.  Now more than ever children across my home state of Kentucky need your help for a better life and a brighter future.  Bellewood can give them just that, but not without our help.  Bellewood’s mission and vision is the same today as it has been for over 160 years.  Bellewood is very close to my heart because it has been in my family for generations.  My grandfather was Santa Claus during Christmas; my aunt taught horseback riding.  My parents, brother, and sister-in-law just opened up our farm at Camp High Hope for Bellewood.  They provide love, education, supportive adults, and a foundation of faith for children to be empowered for a successful and independent life.  They do what is right simply because it is the right thing to do.  With compassionate care and respect, Bellewood values the diversity and opportunities within every person.  They place supportive, caring adults in the lives of their youth, and help every person develop the skills necessary to achieve self sufficiency.  Kentucky’s children are literally being beaten to death.  Continually, our number on child deaths from abuse and neglect are higher than others in the nation.
